January 31, 2006 3:17 PM MST Wrapping up another month of this "Internet Entrepreneur" thing (that's what I've settled upon to tell people what I do for a living when they ask). Yep, that's what I do, other than / as part of preparing for January 2, 2007...Off to walk the little guy on campus before getting back to crank out a few more pages... January 16, 2006 5:16 PM MST Finally won a trophy this weekend (a Crazy 8's pint glass for fastest in my age category). Not counting the award I received for being one of the top 100 finishers of the inaugural Big D Texas Marathon (which wasn't an incredibly remarkable accomplishment, seeing as how only 688 runners finished that race), this is the first athletic award ever received by yours truly. As they say, it can only go up from here ;-)... January 4, 2006 8:41 AM MST Back in Boulder for a new year. It was a good decision to take the Odessa route on my way to Houston - my old home town (which I hadn't seen in seven years) seems to be doing well - it even has a Starbucks next to my alma mater of Permian. The drive itself was much nicer than previous ones - I saw a good deal of the Front Range in Colorado and the desert of northeastern New Mexico, not to mention the mesas of southwest Texas. And catching my first glimpse of the mountains from the Texas-New Mexico line on my way back was a sweet moment. Well, enough about the drive. Back to the wrhammons.com grind... |
