Something worth posting:
an updated Author versus Author section
Enjoy the rest of your weekend...

Like I said, I wouldn't make any commitments. But I have been doing Web work this week, even if I'm not always posting regular updates on my progress.
Right now, I'm working on some CGI scripts. Had some success, though there's nothing worth posting at the moment. Yes, will keep you "posted"...

Yep, an agent a day. I won't make any commitments, but I will set a goal of creating a custom agent page a day, and of course listing at least a few of the titles that that agent has represented.
Mr. Matt Bialer, you're today's lucky winner.
Cheers.

What a day. Well, at least compared to recent ones.
Started off the day with a trip to the gym. Yes, in the greater Denver area, at least, the local gym is just as busy, if not busier, at nine am on a weekday morning than it is in the afternoon. Nice to know that I'm not the only one who has an irregular schedule (I think - I generally like not having to wait to lift a weight).
Then took the old vehicle to the dealership for an inspection. They tell me the airbag (at least until it's fixed next week (Monday hopefully)) might not deploy in an accident, but I don't have to worry about it deploying in the middle of traffic. What a relief (I think).
Yes, I'm sure there's more than one viewer who's praying to God at this moment that W.R. Hammons isn't involved in a head-on collision anytime soon. After all, who else do you know who's nitpicking enough to feel compelled to catalogue every agent's author's book that he comes across?
Don't worry, Viewers. I'm also obsessive about wearing my seat belt...

Afternoon. Had a nice run this morning, though my quads are still killing me from Tuesday.
Slowly, but surely, Bill's List is coming along. I think ten pages are enough for today. A little more work on another project, then I'm hitting one of the local trails...

Yep, just started to specify what time zone I'm blogging from. Probably helpful for viewers, seeing as how this site's been viewed from fifty-three countries to-date this month. Okay, this site's been viewed from fifty-three domain extensions this month (including from the old Arpanet), but you get the picture. A special hello to my visitors from Pakistan and Iran (no kidding, my fellow Westerners).
It's also nice to see that I'm still getting a trickle of visitors from Time, Inc., The New York Times, and The L.A. Times. I guess they're waiting for some sort of comment from Yours Truly on the tribulations of my former employer. No comment. Or maybe they're just interested in seeing where Hammdog's gonna take this thing...
Yes, I choked last night. I don't think it was the best idea to load my carb-sensitive system with a super-size tortilla the morning before a race, even though I've gotten away with a similar thing before speed sessions. I was commiserating with a running buddy this morning, who told-me-that- someone-told-him that it takes three months to get used to the high elevation.
Good point, but I still think I'll stick with tuna salad next time.

Today felt like a bit of a slog, but it really wasn't. It would help if I ate something, but (after a breakfast burrito of plain eggs, white flour tortilla, and no Tabasco) I'm fasting to keep the stomach cramp-free for tonight's race.
So wish me luck! Right now I'm off to do a few relaxing things and get my mind off my stomach and tonight's event (okay, not really relaxing - those few things are getting a driver's license and a haircut).
Cheers.

Four hours and seven pages. I think that's enough for today.
Well, not quite. I just updated my races page with my "Running of the Bulls" 5K results.
Okay, now I'm through...off to meet a friend for dinner...
1:19PM
Yep, trying something new here: updating my blog on a running basis as I work on the rest of my site. First, though, I think I need to return a phone call...

Yep, seem to be back to my old Manhattan habit of blogging every ten days. I suppose there are worse ways to slack off.
Naturally, I've been a little busy with relocation errands, not to mention working on other sections of this site. Newest addition to wrhammons.com: Bill's List of Literary Agents and Their Authors' Books (sorted by book).
Cheers, all.

Finally starting to feel like I'm settling down here in Boulder (it seems that I might even be settling into a routine of making 9pm updates to this blog). Went for my weekly 3.5-hour run this morning (it was a nice way of seeing the Greater Boulder area), visited the local post office for the first time, etc.
And, more slowly perhaps, I'm starting to fee like I'm settling into the role of Internet entrepreneur. I created a new page for Jonathan Lyons, who will be starting with MacIntosh & Otis on Monday.
And it was also a pleasure to see an expansion of the Unity Party of America. We're still small, but we're growing.

Boulder, Baby.
Tired, but happy. That's all I can say at this point.
So, yes, folks, I am now in Boulder, Colorado. So much has happened since my last entry five weeks ago. I gave notice at Newsweek (now I can say where I used to work), closed on the sale of my apartment the morning after my last day at the magazine, and left town that afternoon with a rented (and loaded) SUV. Stopped over in Houston to visit family and buy an SUV, then drove here to arrive Sunday evening.
There's plenty more to write about (and now that this website is my full-time gig, more time to write), but rest assured, viewers, that everything's good.
Nighty-night...
