BILL'S BLOG ON WRITING, RUNNING, AND POLITICS

What can I say? When you're hot, you're hot. Nice to see that somebody surfing from the New York Times's server has joined in the let's-view-a-bunch-of-Bill's-pages game.

With this interesting tidbit, my appearance on Willa Burke's blog, and thank-you notes from loyal viewers, I'm beginning to see a pattern here. You might think that I would keep chipping away at the List, but, alas, there are only so many hours in a day and days in a week. But once I finish next week's marathon and some political projects, some of those hours will be freed up...

Whew! Nice to see that traffic is back up to normal levels (on both sites, no less).

And equally nice to see that, not only do my buddies at ICM continue to troll this site, someone at Time Inc. is doing the same. Hmm...either a reporter looking for a story or, more likely, some poor sap/aspiring author/publishing industry temp researching agents for the novel he or she doubts will ever see the light of day. LOL...

I feel like I broke new ground with this morning's half-marathon effort on Staten Island...a new PR for that distance by 52 seconds. Nothing earth-shattering, but it was nice to review my running and see that there's a definite trend there of late. Onward to the marathon!

And I'm sure my viewers will appreciate my new habit of embedding links from that page to my own results pages on the RRC website. Not that you folks had any doubts...

Regular content updates would probably boost traffic, so here's a short Friday afternoon coffee-break missive. Weather's crummy outside the office window, but Sunday looks like it will be a perfect half-marathon day. I've got a good feeling about the upcoming marathon...

I was wondering why traffic to this site took a nosedive, and now I know the reason (in case you're not logged into the NY Times site, it's basically a list of sites similar to mine, sans moi).

Don't you worry, folks...this dog will have yet another day ;-).
