BILL'S BLOG ON WRITING, RUNNING, AND POLITICS

Hello once again. It was nice to get a thank you e-mail from someone who "found the site very helpful."

One e-mail from the thousands and thousands of visitors to this site. Hmph. Hey, folks over at ICM, what happened? Someone was browsing my site from your server earlier this month - viewed almost three megabytes of files in the course of multiple visits. What's up with that?

Afternoon, World. Nope, don't worry...Yours Truly won't get into the habit of blogging on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Since I was making a few quick updates, I thought I'd thrown in an entry here.

Speaking of updates, a hearty welcome to all you surfers who just caught a wave over from the Unity site...for those of you who are dying to watch a budding political organization rise from the grassroots, this is the page to check back to often.

And I also updated my own "races" page with yesterday's results. It was quite a trip to watch the top female break ribbon right in front of me. Hope to do that myself someday ;-).

So Bill's Buds is up and running. God, I'm tired.

Been quite busy of late, what with the marathon training and this pair of websites. "Bill's Buds" is coming along in the right direction, albeit with a few detours (A snafu permanently hobbled the associated Yahoo! group and I had to start a new one to replace it).

But "Bill's Buds" and everything associated with it is pretty much in place. Bet you're wondering, Viewer, what in the heck "Bill's Buds" is, aren't you? I'll say right here it has nothing to do with marijuana, cannabis, 420, or whatever else you want to call it. More shall be revealed in due time...

Wow, almost a week since I've updated this page. I suppose time does fly when you're enjoying life.

Even today's turning out to be pretty darn good, after the thirty-minute commute stretched into over an hour with rain complications. Had a productive morning (got next year's budget off to those who need to review it), and just put in a solid bit of work on Bill's List. I've got a long slog ahead of me, but the benefits are worth it.

And thanks to all of you viewers who've been reading The Crevasse...it's a nice feeling to know that what I write is being read. I've even got some ideas about further expansion of this site, but the first priority is to finish what I've started and catalog every agent in the business (one idea that's become apparent to me is that I should throw in all the editors while I'm at it, but, again, finishing what I've started is the first priority).

What a week. It's budget season at work, and the numbers just seem to become a morass after a while.

Well, fortunately all other fronts are quite this week, what with Labor Day on Monday and more New Yorkers than usual having taken off to avoid the convention.

Nice to see that I can count author representatives among my viewers. Hey, Mr./Ms. Agent, check out my fiction page...that's really the whole point of this thing. In particular, check out s.t.u.d....it has great potential and you'd know that if you read it.

But for some strange reason, more people seem to be reading The Crevasse than s.t.u.d., even though I've placed the latter at the top of the fiction page. Don't ask me why, folks...I just write the stuff.

And looking forward to a nice long weekend, and wouldn't mind just chilling out at the bachelor pad. Had a great date on Saturday night (Chinese food and Collateral). Alas, it didn't go much further than that. It's a dubious proposition for any man to try to read the mind of a woman, but suffice it to say that, during my follow-up phone call, somewhere between her question "How did your race go?" and my rhetorical question "Would you like me to let you go?" seven minutes later, she lost interest.

If, as I suspect, my interest in the Olympics is what turned her off (she told me she wasn't into sports), that's probably just as well (I was planning on asking her out to a Yankees game).

That's too bad, babe, cause you were one hot little number (sigh).
