Frederick, Colorado began as a mining camp along Colorado's Front Range and was incorporated in 1907. Settlers in the area of Frederick were immigrants from countries as diverse as Turkey and Mexico. As the town website puts it, today Frederick is a small town and close-knit, hard-working community.
The community of Frederick may still be close-knit and hard-working, but will soon be more than a small town - along with many other
communities along the Front Range, including nearby Firestone and
Dacono, Frederick is growing rapidly: its population nearly doubled in the
years 2000-2002, and today businesses in the town retain nearly as many workers as total inhabitants lived in the town just six years
ago. As the town's website also puts it on their home page, Frederick is "one of the fastest-growing communities in the USA."
