Northglenn, Colorado had its beginnings as a large subdivision seven miles north of Denver in an unincorporated area of Adams County. After the neighboring City of Thornton tried and failed many times to annex Northglenn, the community incorporated on its own in April of 1969. The city has grown to a popluation of over 37,000 residents who are able to enjoy over 30 miles of interconnecting Greenway trails which also connect to neighboring cities.
