First, The Shopping List for a Good Life

(With a Digital Nomad focus; growing in length)

Food:

  1. Apples - Green, preferably

  2. Bananas

  3. Cocoa

  4. Coffee

  5. Bread - Whole Grain

  6. Honey

  7. Hot sauce - For me, the hotter the better; adds a kick to the veggies

  8. Hummus - Perfect for spreading on that whole-grain bread and dipping of veggies

  9. Mandarin Oranges - I prefer these over traditional oranges and tangarines (which, of course, are a variety of mandarin)

  10. Mixed Greens

  11. Mushrooms

  12. Oatmeal

  13. Onion - Red

  14. Olive Oil

  15. Oranges

  16. Peanuts

  17. Peppers - Jalapenos and Serranos

  18. Pistachios

  19. Popcorn

  20. Potatoes

  21. Raisins

  22. Rice (brown)

  23. Rice cakes

  24. Sauerkraut

  25. Soup - Like hummus, goes great with bread and veggies (and hummus-smeared bread dipped in soup is even better)

  26. Soy milk

  27. Strawberries

  28. Tangerines - I prefer these over traditional oranges

  29. Tomatoes

  30. Walnuts

  31. Water - I discovered Borjomi during my visit to Georgia; another way I make it easy for myself to stay hydrated is using the peels of my oranges for flavoring

Other stuff:

  1. Paper napkins - Handy in places like Egypt, where locals often consider Kleenex acceptable as napkins

  2. Razors - Triple-blade

  3. Soap - Dove

  4. Toothbrush (replace at least every three months)
